All on 4 Dental Implants

The days of dentures as the preferred solution for missing teeth are over. Now, nearly anyone who can afford them would prefer a solution based on dental implants. But that’s the problem. Not everyone can afford to spend tens of thousands on their teeth.

Now they don’t have to. Far more people can have their implant solution done in Guatemala where the cost is a fraction of what they are in the US. And best of all, the quality of care is high, the clinics and equipment modern, and the workmanship is excellent.

All on 4 is the most common dental solution for people who have been unfortunate enough to lose most of their teeth in one or both jaws. The results of an All on 4 solution can be life changing. Suddenly it’s like your natural teeth are back. You can eat anything you want and your beautiful smile is back. Best yet, your new teeth require no special care other than regular check ups at the dentist.

The procedure involves inserting 4 dental implants into the jaw that will serve as a base for a bridge that will contain crowns. These crowns will replace the missing teeth.

All-on-4 is a complex procedure that involves dental surgery and at least two visits separated by 3 or 4 months. This means that most international patients will have to come to Guatemala for two different trips. However, because of the high cost of this procedure in the United States, even with the cost of the two trips included, most patients end up with significant savings.

Patients who choose an All-on-4 typically need to prepare themselves for the procedure beforehand. This may include changing or dropping medication, changing your diet, and stopping smoking or drinking for some time before, during, and after the procedure.

Some tests are needed to establish feasibility of the procedure and to determine if the patient has enough jaw bone to sustain the dental implants. These tests will also help the dentist decide where to insert the dental implants, the size of the bridge, and the number of crowns.

In rare cases, a dentist might have to pull out one or more teeth in order to insert the dental implants.
